"Roman Reigns pulled from June RAW after internal scheduling correction, not contract issues or injury"
Roman Reigns is no longer listed for WWE’s June Monday Night Raw episodes after being advertised originally.
That removal has sparked questions, but sources close to company planning point to a scheduling correction, not a backstage controversy.
Early promotional material had the World Heavyweight Champion slated for every Raw in June. Soon after, his name was stripped from the listings for the June 1, 8, 15, and 22 shows on WWE’s official calendar.
Internal Reported Reason Behind the Change
The pushback came internally once WWE realized Reigns would not be part of the Night of Champions event in Saudi Arabia on June 27.
According to industry reporting, his initial inclusion on the June advertising was a planning oversight rather than a confirmed creative direction. WWE often lists top stars early in its promotional cycle before creative makes final decisions on appearances.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said talent are sometimes advertised for distant shows before concrete plans are in place, and adjustments happen once travel and storylines are finalized. Reigns’ removal from June Raw ads is thought to fall into that category.
That explanation appears to be widely accepted among insiders. There is no solid reporting tying the change to contract disputes, backstage issues, or dissatisfaction between Reigns and WWE leadership.
One source explicitly dismissed speculation about Reigns being asked to take a pay cut, noting he’s among the least likely stars to be in that position.
Reigns is still scheduled to be a major part of WWE’s buildup through May. He defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu at Backlash this weekend and is booked for the Clash in Italy event at the end of May.
His presence on Raw remains intact through those dates.
Implications for WWE’s Summer Programming
The June absence doesn’t appear to signal a long-term break. Reports indicate Reigns is expected back on WWE programming in July, likely as part of the build toward SummerSlam later in the summer.
That timeline would fit WWE’s typical scheduling approach after major overseas shows.
For now, fans should temper theories of drama behind the scenes. The simplest explanation early advertising being pulled once firm plans were set fits the pattern most observers cite.
Roman Reigns’ presence remains central to WWE storylines through May, and his absence from June Raw dates could be a reflection of event-specific booking realities instead of any shift in his standing within the company.
