"Montez Ford’s new WWE look shocks fans as his transformation sparks talk of a major push! "
Montez Ford has made an unobtrusive return to the WWE limelight, and nobody was prepared to see what they got.
Within the last 24 hours, WWE started releasing clips of NXT live events, that featured Ford with an evidently more-muscled body and a more aggressive and threatening appearance. The reaction was immediate. Several of his fans claimed that they hardly knew him, and some applauded the work and sacrifices of the physical transformation.
Ford left WWE television at the end of last year and this already made people wonder what was going to happen to The Street Profits. The lack thereof in that way is deliberate. In the live appearances, Ford was leaning into the moment where he picked up his jacket and flexed in front of the crowd, even making a joke that he had got his weight up. It was assertive, near a statement and not mere teasing.
A new chapter taking shape
The transformation has led to a larger debate on where Ford fits in the plans of WWE in the future. Over the years, he has been referred to as half of The Street Profits with Angelo Dawkins. The two of them established a tradition of being one of the most athletic and charismatic tag teams at the business. Even in that partnership that was successful, Ford was always energetic, promoted, and explosive in the ring.
The change is being read between the lines by the fans now. A more aggressive size and appearance is the reason behind the speculation of a single run. WWE has hinted at such a prospect previously, and this physical development can only reinforce such a notion. It is also intentional, as the season of WrestleMania is getting closer and the rosters are frequently rearranged to form new pairs of matches and narratives.
There have been both positive and negative reactions online with some being excited by it, and others being shocked by it. Individuals are listening again. Ford appears to be inspired, concentrated and willing to shape up his image. That in itself renders the transformation substantial in other aspects than aesthetics.
At the time of writing, WWE did not confirm the return of Ford or The Street Profits to the weekly television. No official statement has been made relating to a change of character or plot. Nevertheless, the hype that has been made within a single day demonstrates the success of the change.
This may or may not create a singles push or reinvent The Street Profits, but Montez Ford has indeed been able to remind fans that he has the potential to be a star. This does not seem like a short-term adjustment.
