"Nick Khan hints at bold global plans for WrestleMania 44 after learning key lessons from 42 strategy shift "
WWE President Nick Khan has shared honest reflections on WrestleMania 42, while also teasing major plans for WrestleMania 44.
Speaking at a recent TKO Group meeting, Khan discussed what worked, what didn’t, and how those lessons are shaping WWE’s biggest show moving forward.
One of the biggest talking points was WWE’s decision to host WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas for a second year in a row. Khan admitted that the call came from him, but in hindsight, it may not have been the smartest move.
While the event still delivered strong business overall, ticket demand didn’t hit the same level as the previous year. WWE reportedly had to increase last-minute promotions to fill seats, something the company usually avoids for its flagship show.
Learning From the Past, Building Something Bigger
That experience has clearly pushed WWE to rethink its long-term strategy. Instead of repeating locations, the focus now is shifting toward fresh destinations and bigger global opportunities.
The company has already confirmed that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Saudi Arabia, highlighting WWE’s growing interest in international markets and large-scale partnerships.
Khan also dropped an interesting hint about WrestleMania 44, saying fans should wait for the official announcement because it’s going to be something special.
While he didn’t reveal details, the comment has sparked speculation about a completely new location possibly even a long-awaited debut in a country that has never hosted WrestleMania before, like the United Kingdom.
This shift reflects how WWE operates today under TKO Group Holdings. The company isn’t just thinking about tradition anymore it’s focusing on global reach, tourism impact, and major financial deals with host cities.
Locations now compete to host WrestleMania, often offering huge incentives, which plays a big role in final decisions.
For WWE, WrestleMania 42 wasn’t a failure it was a learning moment. Khan’s openness shows that the company is willing to adjust rather than stick to the same formula. At the same time, his tease for WrestleMania 44 makes one thing clear: WWE is planning something much bigger.
As the road to WrestleMania 44 begins, expectations are already rising. If Khan’s words are anything to go by, the next chapter of WrestleMania could look very different and possibly bigger than anything fans have seen before.
